Reinforcing the Commitment to Sustainability and Energy Efficiency
BHIRAJ BURI GROUP, a leading real estate developer in Thailand, has announced a significant milestone in the progress of its large-scale solar energy installation project at BITEC BURI. The Solar Rooftop and Solar Carport systems have now reached over 50% completion, reinforcing the group’s commitment to sustainable energy management and environmental responsibility.
Spanning over 40,000 square meters, the project will deliver a total installed capacity of 4 megawatts. This clean energy initiative will significantly reduce dependency on traditional electricity sources and is expected to lower greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 3,700 tons of CO₂ per year.
In addition to installing solar panels, the project demonstrates environmental stewardship by carefully relocating over 80 existing trees within the site. These efforts help preserve green spaces, minimize dust (PM2.5), and create a cooler, more livable environment for visitors and event organizers.
Developed in collaboration with Banpu NEXT Solar One Co., Ltd., a leading clean energy solution provider in Asia-Pacific, the project is designed to support carbon-neutral MICE events while aligning with broader ESG goals.
The system is scheduled for full operation by the end of 2025, marking a significant step toward BITEC BURI becoming a next-generation destination for sustainable business and community activities.
